Progress on Property Through November 2012

Progress has been slow the last few months, but we were able to get out to the property a couple of times since October.  Mostly we went hunting, but over Thanksgiving Jennifer's parents, Bob and Ann, came for a visit.

We were able to get a few things done over the eight days we were at the property, despite the rain, wind and short days.  We took the new fishing boat since it provided a more comfortable ride for us this time of year.

We were able to get some insulation put up in the ceiling.  We still need to get one more batt of insulation to finish, but what we have up now made a huge difference.  The cabin stayed nice and warm all week, especially since mom and dad kept the wood stove going.

Mom and dad worked on the bathroom too.  They applied bondo to the knot holes and sanded the walls in preparation for painting.

We also did some gravel work on the walkway to the wood shed and the trail for the 4-wheeler.

Our neighbors, Floyd and Darlene, gave us some kayaks.  They should provide for some fun next summer.

But most importantly, we went hunting and got a couple of deer.  (We forgot to take pictures before we skinned them, sorry.)

And, we covered the front porch!

Overall, it was a great trip.  Dad took a lot more pictures, so once he sends those I will post some more.
